Planning for exit

A fast growing Consulting Engineering company with a unique combination of services (architects and construction project managers) wanted to have a plan for how to build value in their company for the next couple of years.

The two owners had a clear vision of how to differentiate their company from the competition. However, they were uncertain whether continued growth was compatible with this vision. The owners differ ten years in age and find themselves in different stages of life creating different priorities that potentially could impact the company's growth and profitability.

We organised a workshop focusing on "Ownership Value" and invited another two business leaders to join the discussions. The workshop helped the owners with setting goals regarding positioning, profitability and customer mix - all with the purpose of meeting their industrial and financial goals.

To follow up on the workshop, Ablona assists the company with an Ownership Value dashboard that is updated every quarter.

Lesson learned: Preparing for selling the company should should support the day-to-day operations.
