The aim with HULO Map™ is to capture and visualize an organization's business model, the competitive environment it operates in, cost drivers and resulting cash flows. Below is the elements in HULO Map™ very briefly explained.

Ablona HULO Map™ Business Canvas with labeled elements: "Company Milestones," "Market," "Industry", "Customers", "Unique Selling Points", "Value Propositions", "Customer Relations", "Distribution Channels", "Key Activities", "Key Assets", "Key Alliances", "Company Culture", "Competence Market", "Competence Magnet" and "Industry Magnet".

Our approach focuses on the analysis, discussions, and interactions that lead to 'committed' business decisions. We prioritize "the journey" over the "final destination" because, in a dynamic business environment, there is no "final destination." It's crucial to continuously reassess and remain adaptable.

Nonetheless, we believe that the 17 elements in HULO Map™ ought to be considered in any future-oriented business planning.

Since 2004, Ablona has utilized our Business Model Canvas as a tool for analyzing clients, forward looking business modeling and planning. The idea of visualization has been highly beneficial for us. Our current version, developed in 2011, is influenced by the books “Business Model Generation” (Osterwalder et al.) and “The New Business Road Test” (Prof. John Mullins), in addition to our own earlier model, the HULO™ model. HULO™ stands for "Help Uncover Latent Opportunities."
